PHOTOGRAPHY

We met Tonka through my wife. That was the plan. The plan did not include her becoming a permanent fixture, stealing the good chair, and turning every serious conversation into a joke.

She just… stayed. Like a plant you forget to water that somehow thrives anyway.

We laugh at everything. Bad photos. Worse ideas. The time I swore the light was perfect and then looked at the pictures later and it was not. She is the person you send the unflattering shot to first, because she will laugh and then tell you it is actually kind of great.

Photographing her is easy. She does not try too hard. She just sits there, says something stupid, and the picture works.

So here she is. Family, basically. And the reason half these photos exist.

I spent a lovely day walking around a beautiful garden in Bath with Annie. There was no rush and no real plan — just a quiet walk, a bit of conversation, and enjoying the surroundings.

As we wandered through the garden, I took photographs along the way, capturing the little moments rather than trying to create anything too staged. Sometimes the best photographs happen when you simply walk, talk, and let things happen naturally.

It was one of those simple days where the location, the company, and photography all came together perfectly.
